We finally got a nice snowstorm here, of course now it is all just about melted, but it was fun while it lasted. I had grand plans to go out and take all kinds of wintry wonderland photos, but as it turned out, I never had the time. I did manage to take a few shots with some Impossible Project PX600 film and I am quite please with the way they turned out. Perhaps not brilliant shots, but I love the tones.
Life is busy all the time even now when I am taking some time off. Our internet was out for a day which was rather stressful because it happened the morning of December 17th which was the last day of the Poppytalk Handmade Market I was in as well as the last day my shop was to be opened. I had lots of Etsy updates to make and, well, I couldn't do any of it. I do get kind of bothered by how dependent on the internet I am, but oh well, that's just how it is these days. Fortunately we got it all fixed up on Saturday when a very nice service guy came over and put in a whole new line for us.
I still can't believe how this month has flown by and here we are approaching Christmas and then the end of the year. I have to admit that I am not really ready for a new year. There are so many unknowns for me and it has me wanting to avoid going into it. I know that sounds terrible...it's not that I am so afraid of change, perhaps it's just that I don't even have much of a plan. I guess I should be excited about a new year and changes. Maybe with this coming week and some more down time, I'll actually have some time to think and dream and absorb and process more of this past year and what I want to make happen in the new year. I don't think I've really allowed myself to do much of that. A little dreaming would probably be good for me.
I hope to check in again before the end of the year, but things are going to be a bit hectic so I'm not sure I'll have the time.
Best wishes to you all in 2011!!

I love the snapdragons in the snow, so beautiful! Now it's time to burrow for the winter.
ReplyDeleteThose photos do have very beautiful tones!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on not being ready for the new year, I kind of just want to freeze time where it is right now.
